Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz received Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Gina Haspel on Thursday in Riyadh to discuss various topics of mutual interest to Saudi Arabia and the US, according to the Saudi state news agency SPA.
The meeting was also attended by newly appointed Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Saudi Arabian Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef, as well as US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia John Abizaid.
Meanwhile Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir met in Washington with several members of the US Senate on Wednesday.
The meetings covered bilateral relations, latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual concern, according to SPA.
