Saudi Arabia recorded no cases of coronavirus despite initial report of one case
Saudi Arabia has recorded no cases of the coronavirus in the Kingdom, according to the Minister of Health Tawfiq al-Rabiah, despite initial reports that there was one infected patient.
The minister's statement, issued on Sunday stated: "The staff at the [airport] clinics are inspecting all passengers arriving from China and measuring their vitals."
A week earlier on Thursday, India’s minister of state for external affairs said an Indian nurse working at a hospital in southern Saudi Arabia had been infected by the coronavirus amid an outbreak that has killed more than a 100 people in China.
The Saudi Center For Disease Prevention and Control said last week that there were “no cases of the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in Saudi Arabia so far.”
