A Tornado warplane that belongs to the Arab Coalition crashed on in Yemen’s al-Jawf, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the coalition’s spokesperson Colonel Turki al-Maliki as saying on Saturday.
The Royal Saudi Air Force plane crashed early on Friday during a mission near Yemeni government forces’ units.
The Arab Coalition supporting the legitimate government in Yemen said that its forces launched a search and rescue operation for the warplane.
The Arab Coalition said a possibility of collateral damages among the civilians in the area of the rescue and search operation has been reported.
According to Al Arabiya sources, preparations are underway to transfer the wounded civilians to Saudi Arabia for treatment.
The sources said the Iranian-backed Houthi militia used the civilians as human shields in the area of the rescue and search operation.
