Kuwait confirmed it had registered another case of the coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases infected in the country to nine.
The latest case declared later in the day was carried by a female citizen who had traveled back to Kuwait from Iran, state news agency KUNA reported citing the country’s health ministry.
Earlier in the day, Kuwait said three more nationals had been infected with the coronavirus, all of them people who had returned from Iran.
The three new cases were said to be in a stable condition and under quarantine, according to KUNA said.
Kuwaiti passengers arriving on flights from Iran to Kuwait on Monday were moved into quarantine in hotels after three cases of the deadly coronavirus were first reported.
