Coronavirus: Qatar bans all forms of gathering by law, confirmed cases at 481
Qatar banned on Saturday all forms of gatherings by law, including but not limited to the Corniche, public parks, beaches and social gatherings, as part of the country’s efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
The decision was made by Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

The government will be deploying mobile patrols and arresting anyone who violates this law, establishing check points across the country, and creating a dedicated hotline: 44579999 – to receive reports and complaints related to any violations to this law or other laws.

Pharmacies and food stores will operate normally and delivery services, including restaurants, remain available.
Qatar will close all parks and public beaches until further notice starting from Sunday March 22, the ministry of municipalities and environment said.
The country also registered 11 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of cases in the country to 481, the ministry of health announced.
