Arab Coalition destroys Houthi ballistic missiles, drones targeting Saudi Arabia

The Arab Coalition has intercepted and destroyed several ballistic missiles and explosives-laden drones targeting Saudi Arabia launched by the Iran-backed Houthis, according to an official statement.

“The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition has intercepted and destroyed a number of ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia towards the Kingdom to target civilians and civilian objects,” a statement on the Saudi Press Agency read.

This is the fifth failed drone attack launched by the Houthi militia towards the Kingdom this week.

Earlier in the day, the Arab Coalition said it intercepted and destroyed an explosive-laden drone launched from Yemen by the Iran-backed Houthi militia toward Najran, Saudi Arabia.

The Iran-backed militia is in conflict with the UN-recognized government, which is supported by the Arab Coalition, and currently controls Yemen’s capital Sanaa.
