Saudi King Abdullah appoints new officials in several public sectors

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia made Friday several appointments to government posts in media, educational and social sectors, state news agency SPA reported.

Saleh bin Abdulrahman bin Saad a-Shuhayyb was appointed as deputy minister of Civil Service.

Soliman bin Abdulrahman bin Abdullah al-Qwaiz was appointed as governor of General Organization for Social Insurance.

Mohammed bin Khalid bin Mohammed al-Suwaiket was named as the general president of Saudi Railways Organization.

Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Soliman al-Meshal was appointed as chief executive officer of Saudi Food and Drug Authority.

Abdullah bin Fahd bin Mohammed al-Hussein was appointed as president of Saudi Press Agency.

Riyad bin Kamal bin Khadr Najm was appointed as president of General Authority for Audio and Visual Media.

Fahad bin Mohammed bin Othman al-Jubeir as mayor of Eastern Region, which contains the Kingdom's massive petroleum resources.
