Iran on Thursday denied media reports that newly-elected President Hassan Rowhani will visit Saudi Arabia to improve relations, CNN’s Arabic website reported.
The Iranian Fares news agency quoted a “well-informed” source as saying such
reports are “unfounded” and based on “mere media speculation.”
Rowhani won Iran’s presidential elections last month. He will assume office in August, replacing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
