Three Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood figures detained with ousted President Mohammad Mursi have been released, a party source said, el-Fagr newspaper reported Wednesday.
Those released are Bakinam al-Sharqawi, Ayman Hudhud and Abdelmajid Mashali.
The source did not say why the three in particular were released, or why there was no announcement from the authorities.
They have not returned home, but their families know where they are, he added.
Many leaders of the Brotherhood, from which Mursi hails, are under arrest or in hiding following the president’s overthrow on July 3.
