Egyptian Interim President Adly Mansour will be traveling to Saudi Arabia on Monday and Jordan on Tuesday, a presidential spokesman said.
Mansour will be holding bilateral talks with Saudi Prince Salman bin Abdel Aziz, the kingdom’s prime minister and defense minister.
Saudi Arabia is going to be Mansour’s first destination abroad since he was sworn in, similar to ousted President Mohamed Mursi, who also headed to Saudi Arabia on his first official visit abroad in 2012.
The Egyptian president’s trip to Saudi Arabia will be followed by a visit to Jordan, where Mansour will be meeting with Jordanian King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein.
Both leaders will discuss bilateral relations and ways to increase trade and economic ties between Egypt and Jordan.
