Charles’s UAE visit came after a widely popular visit to Saudi Arabia

Prince Charles arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Friday following a visit to Saudi Arabia, where his participation in a traditional dance attracted global attention.

Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, greeted Prince Charles and they both discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between their countries, the state news agency WAM reported.

“They also reviewed the strong historic ties and the shared strategic interests of the two countries as well as the latest developments in the regional and international arenas and other issues of mutual interest,” WAM said.

“Prince Charles expressed his happiness at visiting the UAE again, praising the nature of the ties between the two countries,” the agency added.

Prince Charles’ Mideast tour made global headlines this week when he donned a Saudi traditional outfit and performed the local “Ardha” dance.
