300 Egyptian fishermen fleeing Libya arrive home
Eleven boats carried the fishermen to their hometown Nile Delta city of Kafr El-Sheikh
Some 300 Egyptian fishermen have returned to Egypt escaping from the war-torn Libyan city of Misrata, state-run news agency MENA reported Friday.
Eleven boats carried the fishermen to their hometown Nile Delta city of Kafr El-Sheikh where they were greeted by their families upon arrival.
The fishermen boats were initially reported missing in the Mediterranean Sea due to bad weather conditions, causing communication between them and their families to get lost, Ahram Online said.
Local fishermen leader Abdo Nasser told MENA four other boats carrying more fishermen were due to arrive within a few hours.
