A university professor and a researcher are suspects for supporting an Iranian spy cell in Saudi Arabia, a criminal court in the kingdom said Monday.

The professor works as an academic in a Saudi university, and the researcher is said to be veteran with 25 year-experience are among the 32 defendants. No further information was disclosed.

The prosecution is demanding death penalty for 16 defendants.
