France’s Ayrault says UN must act to 'save Aleppo'
Ayrault on Saturday urged the UN Security Council to take immediate action to save the Syrian city of Aleppo
French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault on Saturday urged the UN Security Council to take immediate action to save the Syrian city of Aleppo from being destroyed by the Russia-backed Syrian bombing campaign.
The council "must demand immediate action in order to save Aleppo," Ayrault said ahead of a vote on a French-drafted resolution calling for an end to the air strikes.
