Saudi Arabia providing new ‘revolutionary cancer treatment’ for patients

Dr. al-Tuwairki spoke on the sideline of the European Medical Oncology Congress in Copenhagen

Dr. Abdullah Khalaf al Tuwairki, Consultant and Director of the fellowship program in Oncology at King Fahd Medical City, hailed a revolutionary cancer treatment, which has become a substitute to the available traditional treatments.

Dr. al-Tuwairki spoke on the sideline of the European Medical Oncology Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark and said: “Immunotherapy stimulates the body immune system and strengthen its capacity to combat different types of tumors.”

He added: “Recent studies showed the ability of this treatment to control the disease for a long period and to achieve high cure rates a with minimal side effects compared to the traditional chemotherapy treatment.”

“It trains the immune system to identify and attack cancerous cells, clinical trials proved it target and treat tumors more effectively than current available means.”

Al-Tuwairki pointed out that several medical authorities on the Kingdom are providing this new treatment to its patients.
