Viral video shows Saudis rescuing German from floodwaters

The moment two Saudi men rescued a German trapped in floodwaters has gone viral on social media.

The floodwaters amassed in a valley adjacent to the Shada mountains, in the city of al-Baha, southwest the kingdom.

Footage shared by Twitter users showed Garsan Hussan al Ghamidi and Khalaf Atiq al Ghamidi throwing a rope to the German tourist to help pull him to safety before he was swept away by the fast-moving currents of the floodwaters.

The relieved German, who lives in the Saudi capital Riyadh and was traveling in al Baha, speaking in Arabic thanked his two rescuers.
