One killed, other injured in Jordan action against wanted duo

A joint security force unit hunted the wanted men said to belong to a terrorist group

Jordanian security forces raided a wanted duo in the District of Shobak of the Maan governorate in southern part of the country, with both sides exchanging gunfire, according to information provided to Al Arabiya by a security source.

The security source also revealed that the wanted were an Arab father and son.

The source stated that a joint security force unit hunted the wanted men in Shobak in Maan - said to belong to a terrorist group - killing one and arresting the other.

The statement added that the suspect refused to surrender and continued firing at the security forces. The units managed to shoot and kill him, seizing automatic weapons, in addition to live ammunition.

The statement added that they captured another person who was living on the farm with him. They initiated searches and combed the farm to look for illicit materials.
