Meet the man who aims to run against Egypt’s Sisi in the presidential elections
The higher committee of Egypt’s el-Ghad party has officially nominated its chairman Moussa Mostafa Moussa to run against President Abdelfattah el-Sisi in the upcoming presidential elections.
The party announced that Moussa was able to get signatures from 20 members of parliament supporting his election.
As well as being the chairman of the el-Ghad party which was founded by Ayman Noor, Moussa is also the president of the Egyptian Council of Arab Tribes.
He was suspended from the party in 2005 by Noor over a dispute, but returned as chairman in 2011.
