Lawyer obtains new footage on the brutal killing of Mariam Moustafa in the UK

In the latest developments on the brutal killing of Mariam Moustafa, an Egyptian-Italian student in Britain back in February, a family lawyer said that he had obtained a video of the whole incident surrounding the attack.

Lawyer Emad abu Hussein said in a press conference organized by the Syndicate of Egypt’s lawyers in Cairo Saturday, surrounded by the victim’s parents, that the legal medical team asked for the hearing of six new witnesses and re-hearing two previous witnesses.

He said that the legal medical team is waiting for the forensic report from Britain to clarify the reasons of death, adding that the video and the testimonies of the eight witnesses will resolve the case.

Engineering student Moustafa, 18, was attacked by a gang in the central England city of Nottingham on February 20.

British police said the victim was “punched several times” in the street by a group of “threatening and abusive” women who then followed her onto a bus.
