Iraqi President Barham Salih said on Monday that rebuilding the state and its services requires defending its sovereignty.
“A trip of fruitful meetings with our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The governments of Iraq and Saudi Arabia will review mutually beneficial projects in the energy and investment sectors. The reconstructing of the state and services in Iraq, which was only recently fighting terrorism, requires defending its sovereignty and strengthening its relations with all Arab and neighboring Islamic countries,” he tweeted.
His statement came after his visit to the Saudi Arabia, where bilateral relations were discussed in addition to looking into regiona developments.
Salih arrived in Riyadh, after a tour of the region, which included Iran, Jordan, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
