Lebanon’s foreign ministry on Friday called for the country and wider region to be spared any repercussions from the US air strike that killed the commander of Iran’s elite Quds Force.
The Pentagon on Friday confirmed that US President Donald Trump ordered an airstrike that hit Baghdad International Airpor, and killed eight people, including Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes.
