Iraqi state TV incorrectly reported on Saturday that the US had bombed a medical convoy including a commander in Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) militias near Camp Taji north of Baghdad.
The report was subsequently denied by the Iraqi military and the US military.
“FACT: the coalition @cjtfoir did not conduct airstrikes near Camp Taji (north of Baghdad) in recent days,” a US military spokesman said on Twitter. The PMU also denied that their convoy was targeted by a US bombing.
