An old bomb exploded in Jordan’s Mafraq city on Monday, killing a mother and her four children, Jordan News Agency reported citing a spokesman for the Public Security Department.
The group of children reportedly found the bomb and brought it to their neighborhood, according to Al Arabiya sources.
Authorities received information about an explosion that took place in a neighborhood in the city, which is located 8- km to the north from the capital Amman, and immediately secured the location, the security spokesman said.
Specialized teams are currently conducting an investigation into the matter, the spokesman added.
