Israel has killed 29,782 Palestinians in Gaza since Oct.7, health ministry says

At least 29,782 Palestinians have been killed and 70,043 injured during Israel’s military assault on Gaza since Oct.7, the health ministry in Gaza said in a statement on Monday.

In the past 24 hours, 90 Palestinians were killed and 164 injured in Israeli strikes, the ministry added.

The war was triggered by a Hamas-led attack on southern Israel in which 1,200 people were killed and 253 taken hostage, according to Israeli counts.

Vowing to destroy Hamas, Israel has responded with an air and ground assault on blockaded Gaza that has killed close to 30,000 people. The offensive has displaced most of the territory’s population and caused widespread hunger and disease.
