Exclusive Jordan’s crown prince discusses Saudi ties, says admires MBS’ vision for Kingdom

In an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II discussed the deep relationship between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, sharing insights into his personal connections, mutual interests, and the vision transforming the Kingdom under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The prince described MBS as a “brother and close friend,” adding that the two royals have been in regular contact, meeting “informally” every few months.

“I admire his clear vision and his determination to provide the best for his people and country,” Prince Al Hussein told Al Arabiya.

The Jordanian royal also praised the vision that the Saudi Crown Prince has set for the Kingdom, saying it will positively impact the region and the entire world.

“Prince Mohammed’s ambitious and bold vision will positively impact the entire region. The whole world will benefit from this success,” the Jordanian crown prince said.

Saudi-Jordanian relations

During the exclusive interview, the Jordanian crown prince touched on the “historical” relationship with Saudi Arabia and expressed his optimism about future relations.

“Absolutely it’s a historical relationship,” he said. “We have a shared future, and this is not just a slogan.”


Prince Al Hussein’s personal connection to Saudi Arabia

The Jordanian royal briefly touched on his family ties to Saudi Arabia through his marriage to Princess Rajwa Al Saif.


“For your information, Taher, you are talking about my in-laws now,” he jokingly told Al Arabiya presenter Taher Baraka.

The crown prince married Princess Rajwa – a Saudi national related to the Saudi royal family – in a lavish royal wedding in June last year. They couple is expecting their first child later this summer.
