President Donald Trump's top envoy to the United Nations says "everybody knows" that Russia is meddling in elections in the US and in countries around the world.
Ambassador Nikki Haley told CNN Saturday that Trump's meeting with Russian President Putin at the G20 summit this week was "very important" because "he wanted him to basically look him in the eye, let him know that yes, we know you meddled in our elections."
But earlier this week, Trump told reporters in Poland that "nobody really knows" who meddling in the US election. He acknowledged Russia's probably involvement but said, it may have been other countries as well, without naming any.
Haley said Saturday that "President Trump still knows that they meddled. President Putin knows that they meddled, but he is never going to admit to it. And that's all that happened."
