Russian strategic bombers have started tactical military drills in Russia’s Far East Amur region, the Interfax news agency reported on Wednesday, citing the defense ministry.

Separately on Wednesday, the Russian Northern Fleet’s press service said jet fighters conducted drills in Russia’s North-West, Interfax reported.

The exercises involved eight Su-33 and Su-25 aircraft and were carried out over the Barents Sea and the Kola Peninsula, it said.
