“Air traffic in Kuwaiti airspace has returned to normal following the end of the circumstances that had necessitated earlier precautionary measures,” the Public Authority of Civil Aviation said in a statement carried by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
It added that normal operations have also resumed at Kuwait International Airport with flights operations according to schedule.
The authority said that it is closely monitoring developments to ensure the “highest level of safety and security in the airspace.”
Earlier in the morning, Kuwait said it would temporarily close its airspace from 4:50 am (0150 GMT) and divert flights to alternative airports as precautionary measure as result of Iranian attacks on Kuwait.
Separately, a foreign ministry statement expressed “Kuwait’s condemnation and denunciation of the continued sinful and repeated Iranian attacks.”
“These blatant attacks reflect a systematic, aggressive approach, which the State of Kuwait will neither accept nor tolerate,” the statement said.
