Saudi Arabia signs deals worth more than $300 billion with US: Crown Prince
Saudi Arabia has signed deals with the US worth over $300 billion but is looking at $600 billion of investment opportunities, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said on Tuesday, adding that he hopes to raise the value to $1 trillion.
Speaking at the US-Saudi Investment Forum in Riyadh, US President Donald Trump praised the remarkable transformation underway in Saudi Arabia, attributing it to the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He described the Crown Prince as a “very great man” and “the greatest representative of his people,” highlighting the essential role of the Saudi people in driving the region’s development.
Trump pointed to Riyadh’s rise as a global business hub and noted that the kingdom’s non-oil sector revenues have now surpassed those of the oil sector.
He also commended Saudi Arabia for preserving its rich traditions while embracing a forward-looking, modern vision.
Regional challenges
Addressing regional challenges, Trump criticized the Biden administration’s decision to remove the Houthis from the US list of designated terrorist groups, calling it a serious mistake.
He contrasted Saudi Arabia’s progress with Iran’s decline, saying, “Some have turned deserts into farms, while Iran has turned its farms into deserts.”

He warned that if Iran rejects the United States’ olive branch, Washington will have no choice but to impose maximum pressure.
Condemned Iran, Hezbollah
Trump condemned Hezbollah, accusing the group of looting the Lebanese state and contributing to the region’s instability.
He said that Iran is the most destructive force in the Middle East, contrasting Iran’s actions with what he described as positive developments on the Arabian Peninsula.
“The biggest and most destructive of these forces is the regime in Iran, which has caused unthinkable suffering in Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, Iraq, Yemen and beyond,” Trump said during remarks at a business summit in Riyadh.
Trump said that Lebanon has become a victim of Hezbollah and Iran, underscoring the destructive influence these actors have had on the country’s stability and prosperity. He said he wants to help Lebanon.
He also said he has decided to lift sanctions on Syria after discussing the issue with the Saudi Crown Prince.
Defending Saudi Arabia
He said he will not hesitate to use military force to defend Saudi Arabia.
Trump thanked Saudi Arabia for its role in facilitating peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, acknowledging the Kingdom’s growing diplomatic influence.

He also expressed support for the people of Gaza, stating that they deserve a better future.
