Tribal sources in Salahuddin Province, in the north of Baghdad, said that the popular mobilization militias are carrying out retaliatory operations in Baiji.

After they prevented local police from entering the city, according to these sources, the militias began bombing the residential and government buildings and the houses belonging to former officers in the Iraqi army who participated in the Iraqi-Iranian war.
