Eman El-Shenawi is a Senior Journalist at Al Arabiya English. She manages the Features, Analysis and Blogs sections and has previously undertaken the role of Opinion editor. She frequently writes analytical pieces on geopolitical and socioeconomic affairs. In 2015, she was selected among 20 journalists across the world to take part in the Thomson Reuters Global Security Summit and has previously covered the UAE Government Summit on global leadership policies. Prior to joining Al Arabiya English, Eman was a business reporter for a London-based publishing group and a freelance journalist, extensively covering the Arab uprisings of 2011 and became a commentator on current affairs in the Middle East, particularly Egypt. Eman graduated from Kingston University in London and is currently based in Dubai. She tweets @EmyShenawi.
