Pop the question in one of Europe’s most romantic proposal spots
At long last you have found your soul mate, better half and partner in crime... now comes the fun part
At long last you have found your soul mate, better half and partner in crime. While you mentally prepare yourself to pop the big question, you will need to plan the epic proposal you have been dreaming of.
Remember this occasion will possibly be one of the most told stories in your life, as family, friends, and future children could want to hear all about it.
I previously composed a post featuring destinations in the Middle East and now it’s time to sweep your future spouse of her feet with this list of Europe’s most romantic locations for the big moment.
France
Paris’ Eiffel Tower
The city of romance, with its cozy restaurants and cafes on every corner, is a city enriched with history and art, some would say it is one of the most perfect proposal spots. Just think of that wonderful Eiffel tower backdrop while you propose.
You can choose to dine in one of the fantastic restaurants that offer views of the tower, or simply climb to the top of the tower and propose there.

The Palace of Versailles
If the Eiffel tower is not your cup of tea, then consider a trip to one of the most spectacular palaces in the world. The outstanding architecture and gardens will truly take your breath away.

Venice, Italy
The Canals
Take your future spouse on a gondola trip around the beautiful city of Venice, go the extra mile and ask the gondola assistant to serenade while you pop the big question. Alternatively, if you prefer an audience, then propose in the middle of Venice’s busy square that is full of local talents, maybe you can persuade them to join in.

Rome, Italy
The Trevi Fountain
“A penny for your thoughts?”
Take a sightseeing trip to explore the history of Rome, be sure to visit the Colosseum and the Vatican Museum. Indulge in a romantic dinner or lunch for two, finishing off with a stop to the Fontana Di Trevi fountain, which is one of the prime locations in Rome.

London, UK
The London Eye
Because being in love might feel like your floating on cloud 9, take your partner on one of the biggest observation wheels in the world (135 meters high). You can organize a private trip for two, anytime during the day (we recommend sunset). Admire the views of London’s most iconic buildings such as Big Ben and the House of Parliament.

The Shard
London’s latest edition to the world of skyscrapers, The Shard has a wide variety of restaurants and even a hotel to choose from. Think outside the box and take your future spouse right to the top for a taste of true British culture: Afternoon tea.

River Thames
If you would prefer to stay down to earth, dine on the Thames with a private cruise along the river. For a memory that lasts forever, consider proposing as you overlook London Bridge.

Amsterdam, the Netherlands
Love locks
Take a stroll through the lively streets of Amsterdam and make your way to possibly the only lovelock bridge left in the world. The tradition is to purchase a padlock form a nearby store, using a marker write both your initials/names on the lock, attach it to the gate and throw away the key. This symbolizes eternal love. I would suggest, however, writing on both sides of the lock - one with both your initials, and the other side with your proposal message. Keep it hidden and then ask your partner to turn the lock around.
