One of the world's largest cargo ships arrives at Saudi port
It is capable of carrying more than 16,500 containers weighing a combined 189,000 tons
King Abdullah Port in Rabigh, north of Jeddah, received the largest cargo ship ever to dock in the country's seaports.
The giant ship, MSC London, arrived from Greece and is 300 meters long, 54 meters wide, and 16 meters deep in the water.
It is capable of carrying more than 16,500 containers weighing a combined 189,000 tons.
The ship is considered one of the largest cargo ships in the world and a number of officials were at the seaport to welcome it.
The managing director of the Seaports Development Company, Abullah Hameeduddeen, said the arrival of this ship represents a leap in the handling of logistics services at the port.
