Qatar billboard plane model blunder

What’s the difference between a Boeing 787 Dreamliner and an Airbus A380?

What’s the difference between a Boeing 787 Dreamliner and an Airbus A380? You might be forgiven for not knowing the answer to this, but you could surely expect an airline to know – wouldn’t you?

According to the business news service Bloomberg Qatar Airways apparently don’t know.

The Gulf-based airline sent five of its planes to the Paris Air Show and promoted its presence with huge billboards. One of the boards was bigging up the ‘luxuries of travel on the Boeing 787’ the report added. The airline called the plane “a travel experience like no other.”

But it seems there was a bit of a faux pas in the photo on the poster - it apparently shows the inside of an Airbus A380.
Apparently the company’s GCEO is a stickler for detail, but he seems to have seen the funny sidestating on Monday: “there’s no good air show without a spot of controversy.”

The more cynical have gone so far as to suggest that maybe the whole "mix up" might have been intended.
