Saudi King Salman appointed of Dr. Ali bin Nasser al-Ghafis Minister of Labor and Social Development on Saturday
Saudi King Salman issued orders exempting Dr. Moufarrej bin Saad Hagbani from the duties of Minister of Labor and Social Development, and appointed of Dr. Ali bin Nasser al-Ghafis in his place on Saturday.
Dr. Ghafis received his doctorate in public policy research and analysis from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the US in 1991, and is also a Master’s in Public Administration from the same university in 1987.
He also has a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, and a Diploma in Management in 1987, a Diploma in Applied policy analysis in 1989, the high Diploma in Information Services Management in 1987 – all from the University of Pittsburgh.
He held a variety of positions, most notably the deputy governor for research and development, and supervised research and curricula and library affairs, and workforce development and organizational structures, procedures and working methods of General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training as the General Manager of Technical Education, as well as assistant professor in General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training.
Dr. Ghafis also served as a member of a Saudi Shoura Council.
