UAE to grant Russian visitors visas on arrival

The UAE is offering visitors from Russia visas on arrival at all entry points in the country. The measure is expected to strengthen the UAE’s international competitiveness as a vibrant economic, commercial, and tourist hub in the region.
Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum has approved a cabinet decree recommending Russians be granted visas as soon as they arrive, according to WAM.
During the past two year, the UAE has received more than 600,000 Russian tourists, with 56 weekly flights between the two countries by UAE National carriers. This number is expected to rise after the issuance of the decree and its positive impact on trade and tourism.
Last September, the UAE had granted visas on arrival to holders of Chinese passports.
