One million Saudi families register for Citizen’s Account scheme so far

The number of families and individuals also add up to the existing 850,000 families already registered under Saudi Arabia’s social security program

Nearly one million families have fully registered under Saudi Arabia’s Citizen’s Account scheme while close to 900,000 individuals have completed updating their personal date by mid-day on Thursday a day after an e-portal was launched.

The number of families and individuals also add up to the existing 850,000 families already registered under Saudi Arabia’s social security program and who are automatically documented under the Citizen’s Account.

The call centre that was launched specifically to aid Saudi nationals with inquries regarding the registration process received more than 13,600 calls during the first two hours of Thursday morning.

Registration for the program began on Wednesday through an electronic portal. A virtual calculator will be available for all those eligible to establish the rate of allowances.
