Al Arabiya News Channel hosted a session on Monday at this year’s annual World Government Summit in Dubai.
The session featured Professor Joseph Stiglitz of Columbia University and focused on the “Rise & Fall of Global Economic Governance.”
American economist Stiglitz is a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences and the John Bates Clark Medal. The session was anchored by Al Arabiya business presenter Naser ElTibi.
The World Government Summit is an annual meet focusing on how governments can handle a changing world. Topics such as globalization, technology, extremism and nuclear energy are the main talking points.
As many as 4,000 delegates and 150 speakers from 139 countries are attending the two-day summit which began on Sunday.
