Flyadeal, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s true low fares airline, accomplished a unique feat earlier this year. By launching almost exclusively on digital and social channels, it demonstrated the immense potential of the world’s fastest growing social media market.
Since then, flyadeal has been determined to create a unique, highly engaged community online. Not only has it opened a two-way communication channel with the Saudi community, it has also involved them in various aspects of the airline launch – including designing cabin crew uniforms, and naming the airline’s aircraft.
Customers have appreciated flyadeal’s efforts to foster open communication online. In just over a month since the first flight, flyadeal has reached two stellar milestones on social media – over 100,000 fans on Facebook and 50,000 followers on Twitter.
Con Korfiatis, CEO of flyadeal, said: “This is the first step in making flyadeal the most exciting brand on social media in the Kingdom. We are thankful for the tremendous response we’ve received from our Customers online. Not only are we selling our flights almost exclusively online, we’re using social intelligence to identify what our customers want, what we’re doing well, and how we can improve. On this occasion, we would like to thank all our followers, and invite more of our customers to speak to us on our social channels. We are always listening.”
