The Kuwaiti minister of finance, Nayef al-Hajraf, said that the success of the Saudi Future Investment Initiative (FII) is that of Kuwait, in reference to Kuwait’s keenness on participating with a big delegation of Kuwaiti leaders.

In an interview with Al Arabiya English, Hajraf expressed his joy with the announcement made by Yasir al-Rumayyan, head of Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), about this forum becoming an institutionalized one with a board of directors, an executive management, and a program to ensure its continuity.

Hajraf also said that the Kuwait Investment Authority held several meetings on the sideline of the FII since yesterday, assuring that it does not mind mutual projects with the PIF.

Speaking about developments in VAT and Selective Tax, Hajraf said: “This is a GCC agreement and we’re committed to it, and we’re working towards the completion of the constitutional steps to announce it in the Kuwaiti parliament.”
