ADNOC restarts crude distillation at Ruwais West refinery
A fire at an olefins conversion unit resulted in the loss of half the capacity at the 800,000 barrels per day refinery
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has resumed crude distillation and associated units at its Ruwais West refinery, it said on Friday, adding that commercial production is expected to start shortly.
A fire at an olefins conversion unit resulted in the loss of half the capacity at the 800,000 barrels per day refinery.
ADNOC said there had been a partial reduction in gasoline and propylene production because of the fire and it was working to provide them from other sources.
"ADNOC assures its customers that it has taken measures via the market to supplement production from other sources to ensure there is no disruption in meeting customer demand," it said in a statement.
