Al-Ahsa Investment Forum kicks off in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region

The Al-Ahsa Investment Forum, which kicked off on Wednesday and focuses on providing a platform for new projects and investment opportunities, hosted a panel titled ‘Energy, Investment and Privatization Opportunities’, moderated by Al Arabiya’s Senior Business Presenter Naser Taibi.

The panel included Mohammed Al-Qahtani, senior vice president of Upstream at Saudi Aramco, Lorenzo Simonelli, the CEO of Baker Hughes, and Thomas Burke, the CEO of Rowan Companies.

The forum is being held under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Prince of Eastern Region, with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Khalid al-Falih being among the attendees.

Held periodically since 2003, the forum aims to deepen economic variation under a strategic integrated prospect to achieve sustainable development.

It is also considered a platform for enhancing Al-Ahsa by offering investment opportunities in all sectors. Several workshops and discussions are set to be held for a comprehensive consideration of investment matters.

The forum has become the leading strategic economic forum in the Eastern Region.
