Fire erupts west of Kuwait's Mina Abdullah oil refinery: port authority

Published: Updated:

Fire has erupted west of Kuwait's Mina Abdullah, Kuwait port authority (KPA) said in a Twitter post on Monday, adding fire service is handling the fire, without elaborating.

Kuwait currently has a refining capacity of around 730,000 bpd, mainly from Mina al-Ahmadi and Mina Abdallah, its largest refineries.

The incident on Monday comes one year after another fire that broke out in a kerosene production unit in Mina Abdullah's refinery.
