Bulgari, Dubai developer Meraas to build luxury properties
Meraas is controlled by Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Well-heeled Middle Eastern fans of Italian jewelry and watch maker Bulgari will soon be able to surround themselves in the luxury brand at all hours of the day.
The Rome-based jeweler and Dubai property developer Meraas on Monday announced plans for 188 Bulgari-branded homes in the glitz-loving Gulf city.
The properties include 165 apartments, eight penthouses and 15 mansions spread across the Jumeira Bay Island development. The man-made island will also be home to a previously announced Bulgari-branded resort, a marina and a yacht club.
Started by a Greek immigrant to Italy in 1884, Bulgari today operates hotels in Milan, Bali and London. Its Dubai property and two others in China are expected to open in 2017.
Meraas is controlled by Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
