Technology giant Apple accidently revealed Wednesday the designs of its new iPads a day before they were scheduled to be officially unveiled.
The unusual blunder apparently occurred after an official user guide for iOS 8 was released in the iTunes Store with images of the new devices.
The pictures, which showed the new iPad Mini 3 and the iPad Air2, portrayed several similarities between the previous versions of the iPads and the new ones.
They also revealed that both devices will have a Touch ID.
Apple was due to reveal the new gadgets on Oct. 16 along with updates to its Mac lineup and its latest OS X software upgrade.
The event, which is expected to take place at the company's headquarters will mark Apple's second unveiling in two months.
