Note 7 replacement units expected in UAE by month-end
Customer can hand in devices at Samsung service centers
Replacement models for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 mobile phones which have been recalled will arrive here in the UAE by this month-end, according to Dubai-based newspaper Gulf News, citing UAE-based customer care reps of Samsung and retailers.
The devices were withdrawn here and in other markets around the world after some of the devices caught fire because of battery issues.
In the UAE, customers have been advised to hand in their existing devices at Samsung service and they will be contacted when the new units arrive.
If there is no available replacement in stock, or if the device has malfunctioned, the customer will be given a loan unit until the replacement is issued.
Samsung Note 7 customers can call Samsung directly on 8007267864 for guidance on this issue.
