Apple to recall 88,000 iPhone 6s in the UAE
The affected users are asked to use the serial number to see if their device was eligible for a battery replacement.
The Economy Ministry in the UAE in collaboration with Apple, is set to recall 88700 iPhone 6s devices due to battery issues
Hashem al-Nuaimi, director of the Consumer Protection Department at the ministry, said that Apple informed The ministry of Economy of defective batteries in specific category of iPhone 6S, produced in China between September and October 2015, including 88700 devices in the UAE. He added that these devices might shutdown suddenly.
The affected users are asked to use the serial number checker on www.apple.com/support/ae to see if their iPhone 6s was eligible for a battery replacement.
