Coronavirus: Saudi to fine visitors up to $130k for not disclosing health info
Saudi Arabia will impose a fine of up to half a million Riyals on those who do not disclose the correct health-related information at the country’s entry points, as the country ramps up efforts to combat the spread of coronavirus, according to State TV.
The announcement comes after the Kingdom said it would be suspending travel to nine virus-hit countries, which includes United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Italy, and South Korea.
The country has reported 15 cases of coronavirus, scientifically known as COVID-19, as of Monday morning.
It will also suspend the entry of those coming from those countries, or the entry of those who were there two weeks prior to their arrival. The Kingdom also decided to stop air and sea flights between the Kingdom and the mentioned countries.
