Coronavirus: Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in Rome lit up in colors of Italian flag
Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Rome expressed its solidarity with Italy’s fight against coronavirus by illuminating its building with the colors of the Italian flag on the occasion of Italy’s Liberation Day on Saturday.
“The Embassy of Saudi Arabia lit up its building with the colors of the Italian flag to show solidarity with Italy in the common fight against coronavirus, as part of the Arab Solidarity Initiative in solidarity with Italy …” the embassy said on Twitter.

“On this important day in Italian national history, the Saudi Embassy reaffirms its deep and sincere closeness to the friendly Italian people who, among the first and more than others, had to face this terrible pandemic,” the embassy said in a statement.
“Today the colors of the flags of the two friendly countries illuminate the headquarters of our Embassy, to strongly reaffirm the historic ties of friendship between Italy and Saudi Arabia and the union of the two peoples in the common struggle against COVID-19,” the statement added.
The embassy said that it stands by Italy in this time of crisis adding that it’s grateful to the country for its leading role in handling coronavirus and is confident that with firmness and resilience it will be able to overcome this challenge.
