Qatar announced 1,311 new coronavirus cases on Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the small country to over 20,000, according to the numbers published by Qatar's Ministry of Health on Twitter.
Authorities recorded no new deaths and 84 new recoveries during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,370.
The death toll remains at 12.
Officials carried out 3,963 tests in the country during the last 24 hours, reported the Ministry.
